All You Need to Know About JEE Main Result

The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the JEE Main Result 2022 Session 1 on July 11 on their official website jeemain.nta.nic.in Students can visit the website and enter their application number and date of birth to check their JEE scorecard. The Top 250000 scorers will be eligible for JEE Advanced 2022.

JEE Main Exam includes two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. While Paper 1 is for B.E/B. Tech courses and Paper 2 are for admissions into B.Arch/B.Plan. The JEE Main exam 2022 July session is scheduled from July 21 to July 30, 2022. 

JEE Main exam is considered one of the biggest entrance exams in the country. It is a computer-based test to grant admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). 

JEE Main Result Highlights

  • As many as 14 students have scored 100 percentile in the JEE Main result 2022. 
  • Sneha Pareek has created history with a 300 on 300 JEE scorecard. 
  • NTA will release the JEE Main cutoff 2022 only after the concluding JEE Main exam for Session 2.
  • The JEE Main exam session 2 will be conducted in CBT mode from July 21 to July 30, 2022. 

Once the All India Rank (AIR) is announced, the JEE result data will be given to CSAB/JoSSA and the appropriate institutes of the state. After that, additional counselling and the seat distribution (admission) process will take place.

How to Check JEE Main Result 2022 Session 1

Here is the step-by-step process to check and download your JEE Main Result and JEE scorecard:

Step 1: Visit the official website of NTA jeemain.nta.nic.in 

Step 2: Find out the option for “View Result/Scorecard” JEE Main Result 2022

Step 3: Enter your application number, date of birth, and security PIN.

Step 4: Click Submit option

Step 5: Download the JEE Main Result 2022 for session 1

 

JEE Main Toppers List Session 1

NTA declared the list of JEE Main toppers 2022. Out of 769589 students who appeared for the JEE Main 2022 exam, 14 students scored an absolute 100 percentile. In sharp contrast to JEE Main result 2021, the number of candidates achieving 100 percentile declined in 2022.

More about JEE Main Scorecard

Once you have checked your JEE Main result and know your scorecard, understand what it means. Students are advised to download the scorecard for future reference and admissions. 

The scorecard includes the following details:

  • Roll number
  • Application number
  • Candidate’s Name
  • Mother’s Name
  • Father’s Name
  • Your Category
  • PwD status
  • Gender
  • Your birthdate
  • State of Eligibility
  • Nationality
  • Total NTA score
  • Subject wise NTA score
  • Instructions

During the counselling session, the JEE Main scorecard will be crucial documentation since it contains your NTA score for your category. Nonetheless, this is not your final NTA score. You still have a chance to try again. You can take a drop year, just like the majority of Kota students do. Your AIR will be listed on the final scorecard or final JEE result, which has not yet been made public. NTA will release the AIR after the completion of JEE Main Exam 2022 session 2. 

Calculation of JEE Result

No. of candidates in session with a raw score equal to or less than your NTA score X100

Total candidates that appeared in the session

If you don’t know what is Raw score, it is the score that you achieved in the JEE Main result. The NTA score is calculated using the above-mentioned formula. 

The NTA Score shows the ratio of candidates who in that session scored EQUAL TO OR BELOW a candidate.

Note that the NTA score does not represent an aggregate of an average of the NTA scores for each subject.

After the JEE Main exam session 2, NTA will declare the All India Rank (AIR). It must be noted that it considers the best score of both attempts.
